After losing a landing gear wheel during takeoff from Los Angeles, a United Airlines aircraft made a safe landing in Denver, the airline luckily reported, with no injuries.

There were no reported injuries on board or the ground for United Flight 1001. Seven crew members and 174 passengers were on board.

Boeing 757-200

The plane was a 757-200 designed by Boeing. About 30 years ago, in 1994, the company delivered the aircraft, and in 2004 it stopped producing the 757.

United said in a statement on Monday, “The wheel has been recovered in Los Angeles, and we are investigating what caused this event.” For the airline, it was the second such occurrence of the year.

After taking off from San Francisco in March, a United Airlines Boeing 777-200 aircraft bound for Japan experienced a tire blowout mid-air. The plane made a safe landing at Los Angeles International Airport.

United Airline Incident’s

The latest event involving United Airlines occurred on Monday and was part of a series of incidents.

The incident on Monday was the most recent in a run of incidents involving aircraft operated by United Airlines.

A hydraulic system problem forced one aircraft to make an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport in March.

Another plane that month was rolling off the taxiway and into the grass while it was trying to land in Houston.

In March of the same year, United Flight 1118, a Boeing 737-900, carrying 167 passengers, experienced an emergency landing in Houston when bright flames burst out of the engine while the plane was travelling from Houston to Fort Myers, Florida.

A door plug blowing off an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 in midair, shortly after it took off from Portland, Oregon, forced the aircraft to make an emergency landing, thrusting US flight issues into the national spotlight in January. There were numerous injuries.

United Airlines Loss

United Airlines said in April that the mid-flight blowout on rival Alaska Airlines forced it to ground many of its Boeing planes, contributing to the losses. As a result, the airline suffered a $200 million (£161 million) hit to its earnings in the first three months of the year.
