Thief Stole the BMW & Mercedes in Newport worth £85,000

A luxury car dealership’s owners have expressed their “utter devastation,” following the theft of goods valued at £85,000.

Early on Sunday morning, the alleged incident happened at Whitson Prestige in Newport.

A designer briefcase and two cars—a white Mercedes and a black BMW X3—reported stolen to Gwent Police.

According to co-owner Rory Collingbourne, a customer was scheduled to pick up the BMW. But had to cancel “after finding out the vehicle had been stolen.”

It was devastating to get news on Sunday morning of the widespread destruction and loss of cars along with priceless and sentimental belongings, he continued.

Between 03:00 and 04:30 on Sunday, according to the police, “an unknown person or persons have allegedly smashed a glass door and entered the address.”

The family is offering a reward to anyone, who can provide pertinent information and Mr. Collingbourne has posted footage of the break-in to identify the perpetrators.

The owners claim that, it is just one of many break-ins at Newport’s auto dealerships in recent weeks.

Mr. Collingbourne stated his hope, that “justice is served for all those impacted”.

Two vehicles were taken, a Mercedes with registration RF19 JVN and a BMW with registration LC71 VDX.
