Squid Game's Final Season, Netflix Korean Drama Will Air in 2025

The Squid Second Season Will Air on December 26.

The Squid Game’s final season will debut in 2025. After premiering on Netflix in 2021, the Korean drama featuring Lee Jung-jae’s character Seong Gi-hun. Who mysteriously received an invitation to play a game offering 45.6 billion South Korean won, or roughly £27 million hit.

Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game’s writer, director and executive producer has revealed that the eagerly awaited second season will air on December 26. The third and final season will air in 2025.

Dong-hyuk revealed the show’s conclusion in a letter, saying, “Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-Jae), who vowed revenge at the end of season one, returns and joins the game again.”

Can he take his revenge? This time around, Front Man appears to be a tough rival.

“The third season will premiere in 2025, after that year. This will feature a series finale that showcases the intense conflict, between their two worlds.”

After the first series of the fictional dystopian thriller was a hit. Hwang Dong-hyuk expressed his desire to deliver “yet another thrill ride”.

To promote the return of the second season, Netflix debuted a teaser video on X that featured competitors falling off a running track as a guard uttered the words, “It’s been three years.” Would you like to play one more time?

After the show’s success, it was transformed into a real-life game show.

Squid Game: The deadly reimagining’s of childhood games had lower stakes with contestants facing elimination rather than death. But the Challenge faithfully recreated much of the original, including the costumes and sets.

When series one concluded in December, winner Mai Whelan took home the prize of 4.56 million US dollars (£3.61 million).
