Rishi Sunak says Labour has won the election

The Labour Party has won the election, according to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who also claims that the British people have “delivered a sobering verdict.”

“The Labour party has won this general election,” declared Sunak, who retained his seat in North Yorkshire, to the assembled crowd.

Rishi Congratulated to Keir Starmer

He headed on to say that he had congratulated Labour leader Keir Starmer on his victory over the phone.

“Power will transfer peacefully and in an orderly manner today, with goodwill on all sides. That should instill confidence in all of us regarding the stability and future of our nation, according to Sunak.

Labour is leading other parties with at least 250 seats, having declared more than half of the 650 seats to date.

The center-left Liberal Democrats have won 32 seats, while the ruling Conservatives hold 44 seats.

Thus far, the hard-right and anti-immigration Reform UK has secured 4 seats.

The Green Party has one seat, and the Scottish National Party has four.
