Hampshire Police Captured Two Teenage in Attempt To Vehicle Theft

Cambridgeshire Police searching for the driver who crashed three vehicles

After more than 25 reports of cars stolen in Millbrook and Redbridge in less than a month, police have captured two teenagers.

A large number of reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft in the Coxford, Redbridge and Millbrook areas of the city prompted Hampshire Constabulary to issue a warning to locals.

A 13-year-old Southampton boy was taken into custody by police on suspicion of plotting to steal a car; he was later released on conditional bail.

A 14-year-old Southampton boy also detained by the police on suspicion of auto theft; he later freed while an investigation conducted.

The police advise the public, to be on guard and to report any attempted thefts or suspicious activity.

According to a Hampshire Constabulary spokesman. Most incidents happened overnight and mostly involved motorbikes and mopeds.

“In an effort to find and apprehend the offenders. Southampton West neighborhood policing officers are actively exploring every line of inquiry. They have been conducting high-visibility patrols in the impacted areas around the clock.”
